just once or twice

it's good for your soul

I always wanted to go into space
But my mother said no
I tried to get there on my bike
But the wheels went too slow

I always wanted to build a rocket
Out of old tin cans
But I never had enough strength
In my small kid hands

So Everytime I look out
At the late sky hazy and bright
I wish upon the first shooting star
That I could be out there some night

I always wanted to collect rocks
From Pluto and the moon
But all I got was a handful of dust
That blew away too soon

I once had a teacher who said
The air is fluid like water and the sea
So maybe I could swim through the sky
And get to the stars for free
